Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge:

Rameswaram on Pamban Island and the National Highway (NH 49) are connected by the Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge. This magnificent road bridge, which is parallel to the Pamban rail bridge, is encircled by the placid sea. Rajiv Gandhi, a former prime minister of India, officially opened it in 1988.

The 2.34 km long Annai Indira Gandhi Road bridge, sometimes referred to as the Pamban bridge, is situated near the rail bridge. The road bridge permits ships to pass beneath it without difficulty.
The area is prone to violent cyclones and has calm blue waters all around it. It offers a striking view of the little anchored boats drifting by and the Pamban rail bridge spanning the sea.

Visitors stop at the bridge to enjoy the magnificent view of the wide expanse of the horizon-spanning emerald waters.
The Pamban beach, with its serene surroundings and recreational park, is one of the neighbouring attractions that one can visit for a fantastic break.
